The Pine View Inn is centrally located in Nova Scotia's beautiful Annapolis Valley. Within 20-30 minutes of the hotel, you and your family can enjoy the World's Highest Tides as seen in the Minas Basin or enjoy the picturesque fishing boats and harbour at Halls Harbour.  You can see across the Bay of Fundy into New Brunswick and maybe even view a whale or seal as they swim throughout the Bay. Oaklawn Zoo is also just a short drive from the Pine View Inn and is the only zoo found in Nova Scotia.  Suppertime is one of the best times to visit as the lions and other large animals are fed at that time.  Kids will love the open spaces as they become very up-close with the large variety of animals found at Oaklawn Zoo. The Annapolis Valley has quickly become one of the favourite areas of local vineyards as there are 5 outstanding and award-winning vineyards within a short drive.  Some offer tours as well as gift shops with the opportunity to sample various types and flavors.

Burlington Days

Grand Pre National Historic Park always makes for a great day of walking, browsing and learning more about the history and heritage of the Acadians and the role they played in helping to shape Nova Scotia.  There are other Provincial and National Parks located in the area and hotel staff would be happy to provide brochures and information on each. Museums, hiking, walking, biking, and snowmobile trails are all just minutes from the Pine View Inn.  Outstanding recreation facilities exist in the area including skating/hockey arenas, ball parks, tennis courts, swimming pools, rivers and streams, sky diving, soccer fields and dozens of nearby lakes to swim, boat, water-ski and so on. One thing the Annapolis Valley is known for is the large number of local festivals and events.  Starting with the Apple Blossom Festival in May and going every week till winter, each local community shows its pride and local citizen involvement with an outstanding celebration. The hotel staff can provide schedules and other details for each local festival so you and your family can enjoy more of our famous hospitality.
